PURPOSE:

Register and connect your device for use on the network.
 

APPLIES TO:

Rose-Hulman Institute issued machines, Windows, Linux, MacOS, iOS, Android
 

prerequisites:

Discovering the wireless or ethernet MAC address for your device


 

Registering Your MAC Address

  1. Go to http://my.rose-hulman.edu
  2. Click on the EIT tab
  3. Click the “Register Network Device” QuickLink
  4. Log in with your credentials (RHIT email address and password)
  5. Click on “Create Device”
  6. Enter the MAC address of the device you want to register. For assistance in locating your MAC address see these Knowledgebase Articles:
  7. Enter the name of the device if desired. Generally the brand/model of the computer is best, but it does not matter. Ex: iPhone 6s
  8. Click on “Create Device”
  9. When registering a wireless device, you must disconnect and reconnect the device from the wireless network for the registration to finalize.

Connecting to eduroam

Make sure you have followed the steps above. After, connect to eduroam. When you do, it will prompt you for a user name and password. Put your full Rose-Hulman email in the user name area and your password in the password area. If you are on Windows, there will likely be a checkbox to use your Windows account. Do not check this box.
