It can be helpful to have frequently used apps pinned to the Windows 10/11 start menu so they can be found easily. Apps can also be resized and moved around in order to allow the user to choose the best organization. (Please note: Changing the size of the applications is not available in Windows 11 at this time).
To add an app to the start menu:
- Click the Start Button

- Click All Apps.
- Select an app that you would like to pin to the start button. Right click on the app and click Pin to Start.
- The app will appear at the bottom of the start menu. To move the app to a new location, click, drag and drop the app to your preferred location. Other apps will move to make room for the new app location.
If you would prefer to make the new app or other existing apps larger or smaller in the start menu, please do the following:
- Right click on the new or existing app.
- Click Resize.
- Click Small, Medium, Wide or Large to adjust the app size.
To unpin an app from the start menu, please do the following:
- Click the Start Button
.
- Right click on the app that you would like to unpin.
- Click Unpin from Start.
- The app will immediately disappear from the Start menu.
