To no longer require users to log into My.Rose-Hulman every time they launch it in a bowser

Logging into My.Rose-Hulman

When accessing My Rose-Hulman from a laptop or desktop, you should only be prompted to log in to the site once. After the initial login process, as long as users do not physically logout of the site, they should not be asked to login again if accessing via the same browser on the same computer. However, if the issue persists, we recommend following the steps below. 

Add My Rose-Hulman to the Local Intranet Zone:

  1. Click the Windows Start Button and type Internet Options to find and open the Internet Options control panel.
  2. Click the Security Tab.
  3. Select Local Intranet.
  4. Click the Sites button.
  5. Click the Advanced button.
  6. In the Add this website to the zone field, enter https://my.rose-hulman.edu.
  7. Click the Add button.
  8. Click CloseOKOK.

Save Windows credentials for My Rose-Hulman:

  1. Access the site using Internet Explorer or Edge.
  2. Enter your network username and password.
  3. Select the Remember my credentials checkbox.
  4. Click OK.
  5. The sign-in information will be saved in the Windows Credential Manager (Credential Manager can be found via the Windows Start menu).

Configure Firefox to trust My Rose-Hulman for Windows authentication (only required for Firefox):

  1. In the address bar, enter about:config.
  2. Click the I accept the risk! Button.
  3. In the search field, enter network.automatic-ntlm-auth.trusted-uris.
  4. Double-click the Value field and enter https://my.rose-hulman.edu (if necessary, multiple values can be entered as a comma separated list if necessary).
  5. Click OK.
