Connecting to Eduroam in Ubuntu

general Instructions:

1. Click on the wireless icon located in the upper right task bar. 
2. Select 'eduroam'
   1. In the Security field, select 'WPA & WPA2 Enterprise'
   2. In the Authentication field, select 'Protected EAP (PEAP)'
   3. Leave the Anonymous Identity field blank
   4. The CA certificate field should be set to 'None'
   5. The check box 'No CA certificate is required' should be checked
   6. The PEAP version field should be set to 'Automatic'
   7. The Inner Authentication field should be set to 'MSCHAPV2'
   8. In the Username field, enter your username@rose-hulman.edu
   9. In the Password field, enter your network password 
3. Select 'Connect' in the lower right corner

If general instructions do not work:

1. Click on the wireless icon located in the upper right task bar
2. Select 'Edit Connections...'
3. In the box titled 'Network Connections' select 'Add'
4. In the box titled 'Choose a Connection' in the selection field, click and select 'WiFi' then click 'Create' 
5. In the box titled 'Editing WiFi connection 1' select the WiFi tab 
6. In the SSID field enter 'eduroam'
7. In the Mode field, enter 'Client'
8. Leave the BSSID field blank
9. In the Device field, click on the arrow on the right side of the field. The following should be your option:  'wpl2s0 (the MAC address of the wireless adapter in the form of 04:40:30:0c:0f:00). Select this option 
10. Leave the Cloned MAC address field blank
11. The MTU field should be set to 'Automatic'
12. In the box titled 'Editing WiFi connection 1' select the 'WiFi Security' tab
    1. In the Security field, select 'WPA & WPA2 Enterprise'
    2. In the Authentication field, select 'Protected EAP (PEAP)'
    3. Leave the Anonymous Identity field blank. 
    4. The CA certificate field should be set to 'None'
    5. The check box 'No CA certificate is required' should be checked
    6. The PEAP Version field should be set to 'Automatic'
    7. The Inner Authentication field should be set to 'MSCHAPV2'
    8. In the Username field, enter your username@rose-hulman.edu
    9. In the Password field, enter your network password
13. Select 'Save' in the lower right corner
14. Ubuntu should auto connect or you may need to select 'eduroam'
